Suparna Pandhi
Senior Director and Head, India Branch Office
Ms. Suparna Pandhi has over two decades of experience handling Indian Industry’s business interest as well as branding India in various international markets.
Prior to joining The Cohen Group, Ms. Pandhi was the Head of the International Division of The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), India’s premier Industry Association. In this role, she engaged with domestic and international corporations, government, media, and other agencies to help shape India’s business policies. She was also responsible for assisting CII member companies to identify international markets and strategic partners, allowing the companies to establish a global presence. In addition, she assisted foreign companies and agencies to understand the Indian economic and business environment and to find partners for their businesses within India.
Prior to her role as Senior Director, Ms. Pandhi headed CII’s Services Sector which focused on IT, ITeS, e-Commerce , telecom, hospitality, tourism, retail, healthcare, medical technology, media, and entertainment in India. She also headed various regional and country specific desks in the international division and was the Head of Human Resources at CII for over 900 employees.
Ms. Pandhi has handled and organized many international events including India’s participation at the Annual Meet of World Economic Forum at Davos, India Economic Summit, Commonwealth Study Conference, and various Made in India shows in overseas markets. As the Head of International she also coordinated business meetings with the various Heads of State and incoming business delegations. She was also part of the strategic planning and coordination group within CII which was responsible for organizational restructuring. In addition, she has considerable international experience, in such markets as Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and numerous other locations.
Ms. Pandhi has an MSc in Chemistry from Miranda House, Delhi University, a PG Diploma in Computer Applications from International Data Processing, and attended an Executive Development Program on Human Resource Management from IIM Ahmedabad.
