Lieutenant General Harry Raduege joined The Cohen Group as a Senior Counselor in August 2005, following retirement from the US Air Force after 35 years of service. Throughout his military career, including 17 years in joint duty assignments, he worked in the areas of information technology, including command and control; communications; and space, network, and cyber operations. In his last position, he led Department of Defense global network operations and Cyber defense as Director of the Defense Information Systems Agency. In that role, he directed planning, engineering, and implementation of interoperable communications and intelligence systems serving the President, Secretary of Defense, Joint Chiefs of Staff, combatant commanders, and the military services. Notably, he led efforts to restore communications to the Pentagon following the 9/11 terrorist attacks; upgraded Presidential communications; and led the expansion of the Department's global networks through a $1 billion transformational communications program which was delivered on-time and under-budget. He also served as Manager of the National Communications System and led efforts to prioritize and restore communications throughout New York City following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
General Raduege also was appointed by the Secretary of Defense as Commander of the Joint Task Force for Global Network Operations, and Deputy Commander for Global Network Operations and Defense for the US Strategic Command. In these roles, he was the first commander assigned responsibility for directing the operation and defense of the Department’s global information networks.
Prior to his last assignments, General Raduege directed command and control systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command, US Space Command, and Air Force Space Command. There, he served as the Chief Information Officer for each command, was an architect for computer network defense capabilities established throughout the Department of Defense, and was the National spokesman for the Department during the successful "Year 2000" computer roll-over efforts.
General Raduege directed command and control communications at the US Central Command for three years, including the massive relocation efforts required after the Khobar Towers bombing. Earlier, he served as the first commander of the Air Force C4 Agency and was the Joint Chiefs of Staff architect for all satellite communications supporting over 500,000 deployed military members during Operation Desert Storm.
Following military retirement, General Raduege served as Chairman of the Deloitte Center for Cyber Innovation and Managing Director for Cyber Risk Services for Deloitte & Touche LLP. He co-chaired the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Commission on Cybersecurity for the 44th Presidency and was a Senior Advisor to the Task Force on Cybersecurity for the 45th Presidency. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of the Network Centric Operations Industry Consortium (NCOIC); as a special Government Employee within the Department of Homeland Security, on the Board of Governors of the United Services Organization (USO), as Managing Partner of the RIDGE-LANE LP Information Technology Practice, and as President and CEO of the National Cybersecurity Center.
In addition to his position at The Cohen Group, General Raduege serves as a Senior Partner at Elara Nova: The Space Consultancy, on the Board of the National Cybersecurity Center, as the Chairman Emeritus of the Air Force Cyberspace and Air Traffic Control Association, as a Senior Advisor to the Air & Space Forces Association’s “CyberPatriot” program, and as an advisor to several companies.
