Ms. Keeli Johnson joined The Cohen Group in June 2022. She supports clients in the semiconductor, artificial intelligence, internet platform, and legal sectors with navigating complex geopolitical and regulatory environments, developing targeted engagement strategies, business development, geopolitical risk assessment and mitigation, and crafting messaging for governmental audiences. Ms. Johnson also leads The Cohen Group’s AI taskforce, which is focused on creating sustainable, ethical, and forward-looking internal AI policies.

Prior to joining The Cohen Group, Ms. Johnson was an undergraduate student at Wesleyan University where she holds a BA in Economics and minor in Middle Eastern Studies. At Wesleyan, Ms. Johnson served as a Teaching Assistant for Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Quantitative Methods in Economics, and Healthcare Economics, earning the Plukas Teaching Apprentice Award for two consecutive years. She was also the recipient of the Scott Prize in Arabic and the Horace White Prize in Economics.

Previously, Ms. Johnson served as an intern for the management section of the US Embassy in Oman. In this role, she reported directly to the Embassy’s management lead and assessed logistical considerations ahead of Embassy events and the FY2021–2022 budget transition. She was also an intern for a global insurance brokerage where she liaised across a global network of insurance carriers and clients, and ensured the proper implementation of corporate insurance programs.

Originally from Los Angeles, Ms. Johnson grew up in Tokyo and is proficient in Arabic and Japanese.
