June 3, 2008 Secretary Cohen and former Senator Sam Nunn hosted the third Cohen Nunn Dialogue, focused on national service, in Atlanta. Secretary Cohen participated in the U.S-India Business Council's 32nd Anniversary "Global India" Summit
and chaired a strategic roundtable discussion entitled "The U.S.-India Strategic Partnership – Setting our
Bearings: Are We Lost or Are We Found?" American and Indian political and business leaders attended the
Summit, to include Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Indian Minister of Commerce Kamal Nath.
June 25, 2007 General Paul Kern has been named an Adjunct Professor in the University of Southern California's Systems Engineering Department. General Kern will work with the USC Institute for Creative Technology to develop computer-based training simulators for the military over his three-year professorship. June 18, 2007 The Cohen Group announced the opening of their Beijing and Tianjin offices in China. Both offices support The Cohen Group's rapidly growing practice representing multinational corporations doing business in China. The new offices allow us to conduct expanded outreach to assist multinational corporations is pursuing new opportunities in the country as well as Chinese companies pursuing new opportunities worldwide. This event honored the men and women of the Coast Guard who served in World War II. Singapore, which was attended by world leaders from 25 nations, and is recognized as a key event for defense and

Ambassador Grossman participated in the German Marshall Fund of the United States' Brussels Forum. The Forum brought
together leaders from both sides of the Atlantic to discuss the future of the transatlantic relationship. Ambassador
Grossman participated in two panels, one on Turkey and the other (pictured here) on "Europe's East and Russia's West,"
a discussion of the state of new members of NATO and the European Union and the possibilities of continued NATO and EU
expansion.

Secretary Cohen recently visited Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Jordan, and Israel, meeting with government and industry leaders at

April 19, 2007 General Paul Kern participated on a panel of retired three- and four-star military officers in calling on the Department of Defense to develop a strategy for responding to the potentially catastrophic consequences of global climate change. March 15, 2007 General Joseph Ralston testified in front of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe's hearing "U.S.-Turkish Relations and the Challenges Ahead" in his capacity as U.S. Special Envoy for Countering the PKK. He said, "The continued ability of this terrorist group to operate from Iraqi territory is a threat to regional security and an impediment to improvements in the lives of people on both sides of the border." The Industrial College for the Armed Forces (ICAF) honored Admiral Loy, ICAF Class of 1985, for his laudable
career in public service. ICAF described him as "a beacon and leader in fields consequential to national
readiness and safety," referring in particular to his leadership in both the Coast Guard and the Department
of Homeland Security. February 9, 2007 The National Academy of Engineering (NAE) announced that TCG Senior Counselor General Paul Kern (U.S. Army, Ret.) was elected to its membership in recognition of his bringing modern digitization technology to bear on military effectiveness, training, and procurement. Founded in 1964, the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) provides engineering leadership in service to the nation. Election to the NAE is among the highest professional distinctions accorded to an engineer. The Chairman of the World Affairs Councils of America, Ambassador James R. Jones, awarded Secretary Cohen its Lifetime
Achievement Award. This event was the highlight of the WACA annual conference. Secretary Cohen delivered the keynote
address on the conference’s theme, Bridging the Desert: The Middle East in the Next Decade. January 30, 2007 Admiral James Loy testified before the House Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security regarding the future of homeland security in the next five to ten years. He said, "Today we live in the Information Age and I offer that many of the solutions to the challenges of the post 9/11 security environment will be found at the intersection of today's Information Age and today's public-private partnerships." various defense companies during the 2006 Association of the United States
Army (AUSA) conference. He saw the newest technology put forth by leading firms and met with members of the military
who were able to attend this major annual event.October 5, 2006 The Cohen Group, in partnership with the Professional Services Council, hosted a breakfast commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Clinger-Cohen Act, which revolutionized information technology acquisition within the U.S. government. Secretary Cohen, who sponsored the legislation, delivered the keynote address, and Cohen Group Senior Counselor General Harry Raduege participated on one of two panels formed to discuss the remaining challenges in government information technology procurement. Secretary Cohen met with Shinzo Abe, Chief Cabinet Secretary of the
Japanese government, who is expected to become Prime Minister of Japan in
September 2006. They discussed ways to increase U.S.-Japan industrial collaboration,
as well as enhancing Japan's role in international security operations. Secretary
Cohen also met with Foreign Minister Taro Aso; Defense Minister Fukushiro
Nukaga; Hidenao Nakagawa, Chairman of the LDP Policy Research Committee; Fumio
