Mr. Tino Giovanni joined The Cohen Group after serving in the Office of the Legal Advisor at the Department of State, where he provided legal analysis and feedback on sanctions programs relating to Russia, North Korea, Syria, and cyber actors. He also worked in the Office of China and Mongolian Affairs within the East Asia and Pacific Affairs Bureau at State, where he was a Technology Policy Officer focusing on semiconductors and emerging technology. There, Mr. Giovanni drafted policy proposals for advancing the national security and foreign policy goals of the United States related to China. Mr. Giovanni was selected as a Presidential Management Fellow.

Before joining the Department of State, Mr. Giovanni served as an active-duty Green Beret with 10th Special Forces Group in Ft. Carson, CO, where he was an Engineer Sergeant and deployed to Afghanistan in 2016.

Mr. Giovanni holds a JD from George Mason University. He graduated with honors from University of Charleston, West Virginia with a BS in Organizational Leadership.
