China Chief Representative
Prior to joining The Cohen Group, Mr. Wang served for ten years in the Foreign Affairs Office of the Tianjin Municipal Government. As the Deputy Director of The Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs, Mr. Wang was responsible for exchanges and cooperation between Tianjin and state governments in that region.
During his time in government, Mr. Wang frequently received Heads of State and Government, including former U.S. President George H.W. Bush and various senior executives from Fortune Global 500 companies. Mr. Wang also participated in the organization of numerous international events. Through these experiences, Mr. Wang developed diplomatic and leadership competencies, and an expertise in coordinating public and government relations activities.
Mr. Wang also provided customized advice to multinational companies during his time in government. In this capacity, Mr. Wang assisted many companies in establishing successful business relationships in China, aiding investment and business development opportunities, while addressing and resolving production and operating challenges.
Since joining The Cohen Group in 2007, Mr. Wang has provided comprehensive support to a wide range of clients, helping them to preserve and develop their business in China. He has assisted clients in managing greenfield investments and mergers and acquisitions, and has helped prevent and manage facility closures and production capacity transfers, among other issues.
Mr. Wang received his MBA from Newcastle University in the United Kingdom. He graduated with a BA in English from the Tianjin Foreign Studies University in Tianjin, China.
