hereOctober October 11, 2006 Secretary Cohen toured the displays of
various defense companies during the 2006 Association of the United States
Army (AUSA) conference. He saw the newest technology put forth by leading firms and met with members of the military
who were able to attend this major annual event.October 5, 2006 The Cohen Group, in partnership with the Professional Services Council, hosted a breakfast commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Clinger-Cohen Act, which revolutionized information technology acquisition within the U.S. government. Secretary Cohen, who sponsored the legislation, delivered the keynote address, and Cohen Group Senior Counselor General Harry Raduege participated on one of two panels formed to discuss the remaining challenges in government information technology procurement. General Ralston will have responsibility for coordinating U.S. engagement with the Government of Turkey and the Government of Iraq to eliminate the terrorist threat of the PKK and other terrorist groups operating in northern Iraq and across the Turkey-Iraq border. General Ralston joined Dan Colussy, the CEO of Iridium Satellite, for the official
opening of a satellite ground station in Fairbanks, Alaska. The senior Senator of Alaska,
Ted Stevens, and Alaskan Governor Frank Murkowski also participated.August 1, 2006
Secretary Cohen met with Shinzo Abe, Chief Cabinet Secretary of the
Japanese government, who is expected to become Prime Minister of Japan in
September 2006. They discussed ways to increase U.S.-Japan industrial collaboration,
as well as enhancing Japan's role in international security operations. Secretary
Cohen also met with Foreign Minister Taro Aso; Defense Minister Fukushiro
Nukaga; Hidenao Nakagawa, Chairman of the LDP Policy Research Committee; Fumio
Kyuma, Chairman of the LDP General Council, as well as the chairmen of several
of Japan's leading industrial firms. During his visit to Tokyo, Secretary
Cohen delivered the keynote address at the annual Japan-U.S. Security Strategy

Secretary Cohen led a discussion at the U.S. India Business Council's 31st anniversary celebration on,
"The Economic Case for a Stronger U.S. - India Strategic Partnership." Other participants in that
discussion, seen in the picture to the right, included Ambassador David McCormick, Under Secretary of
Commerce for Industry and Security; Dr. Amit Mitra of the Federation of Indian Chambers
